Vladimir Blagojević

Find Fulfillment

Find Fulfillment: your limitations are just a story

Vlad Blagojevic moved to Spain, had a baby, and bought a house all at once. The burnout landed him with level 10 pain, and a whole new perspective on work.

Vlad is a Serbian Belgian who lives in Spain. His life went sideways around his 40th birthday when he and his wife moved, had a baby, and bought a new house. A miscalculation meant he had to work day and night to cover the costs. He got estranged from his family, totally burned out, and ended up with a health problem that caused level nine or ten pain for months.

His recovery started with taking responsibility for getting himself into that mess. He also started walking, hours a day, which he found made the pain go away. That time walking and thinking helped him change his relationship to work, money, and even conflict. Now, instead of arguing with his wife in his head, he gets her morning coffee ready. Small things, big impact.

Vlad has changed his career four times and lives in his third country, all in a search for a better mental state. His big takeaway is that we see the world as we are, not as it is. Most of our limitations are stories we tell ourselves. He has an adult ADHD diagnosis, but he refuses to let it be an excuse for not being disciplined or consistent.

“There is no reality, there is no objective truth. It's always an interpretation.”

Notes

  • He moved to Spain, had a baby, and bought a house all at once, leading to a year of overwork, burnout, and a health issue with months of level 10 pain.
  • When the pain was at its worst, he discovered that walking three to four hours a day made it go away and helped him stay sane.
  • To manage conflict in his marriage, he stopped focusing on being right and started doing small things for his wife, like getting her morning coffee ready.
  • Though diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, he does not accept it as a label that defines what he can or cannot do.
